Antibody tests, also called as Antibody blood tests check your blood by observing the antibodies that show if you had a previous viral disease. Depending on when a person was infected and also the time of the test, the test may not find antibodies in a person with a recent COVID-19 disease.

Antibodies are the proteins that protect your body by combating any invaders. Antibody tests are available in our Doc Urgent Care. Still, it may not be used to diagnose a person as being currently sick with Coronavirus, and to see you have an infection; we do a viral after your permission.

Coronavirus Treatment

There is recently no treatment, particularly for COVID-19 approves for this novel virus, although different vaccines and procedures are under study.

Important Note on Remdesivir

Remdesivir is an Ebola medicine and is very potent to treat other viral infections. But the use of this anti-viral drug is not approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration); therefore, we also discourage this drug.

We are currently experimenting with different treatments in our laboratories to check their efficiency. Examples of some of the treatments that we are using to help patients are below:

Retroviral or anti-viral medications

Breathing support like mechanical ventilation

Blood plasma transfusion

Steroid to decrease lung swelling
